A Weekend In Woodloch Wonderland
Our summer adventures continued with a drive up to Pennsylvania for the second weekend in a row. Our last getaway was to Kalahari Resorts, an indoor/outdoor water park and resort. This time, we spent a couple of days in the first resort in the Poconos area, Woodloch Pines.
Woodloch was founded by the Kiesendahl family—throughout the estate, you can see how much their love and unity shines. We arrived in late afternoon, so we settled into our suite with a beautiful view of the lake. My husband Michael took the kids to the pool while I explored the space all around before dinner.
That first night, we enjoyed dinner with the other guests in the main dining room. It was a ‘90s theme and we took a trip down memory lane with many of my favorite childhood cartoon characters amongst the fun décor. The kids had a blast taking pictures with everyone!
The following day, we started bright and early for Woodloch. It’s full of activities there and we wanted to do it all! After breakfast, we hung out by the lake and played with the little chipmunks that reside all throughout the resort while the petting zoo was being set up. We loved befriending the sweet bunnies, goats, and mules.
The kids took a quick ride on a pony—it made our little one, D’Artagnan, so happy! We took our older son Alvieri to the skating rink, archery, and shooting range. Michael is a pretty good shooter and had fun teaching Alvieri!
Our ride in the race car was definitely one to remember. We loved not having to wait in long lines and drove around for almost 30 minutes. It was a blast! That’s right—Woodloch has it all. Alvieri was thrilled! I was more thrilled that he took his eyes off the phone for those couple of days!
We had an amazing time and hope to return because this is a place where families come together and create everlasting memories! Woodloch, we love you.
